LbNA & SWIAALB Hitch Hikers

From: (mohmers@aol.com) | Date: 2002-01-03 10:16:50 UTC-05:00
HI ... I've seen postings on the LbNA & SWIAALB hitchhikers but I couldn't
find a listing of their travels on the HitchHiker page .... If you have seen
these two or The Collinsville Twosome since it was first dropped off, I'd
love to put together a listing of their adventures.

Thanks, Mohmers

Whereabouts is the "Hitchhiker page"? The lbNA FAQ has a link:

http://www.letterboxing.org/lbna/hhikers.htm

but the link is dead.
We did recently drop a hitcher off. I let the originator know
but it would be nice to be able to track it (and others) as they go
along.

Thanks,
WaldenRun

Off the map LbNA, USA map page, at the bottom, the hitchhiker link is  http://letterboxing.org/lbna/hhiker_files/hhikers.htm

I went to the home page and clicked on the hitchhiker thumb...it took me to
the hitch hiker page.

Thanks. Goes to show that two clues are better than one.

I am thinking that the Hitchhiker page would show the LAST box
visited and not the CURRENT one. Is that the etiquette? I only
wanted to post where we put the box after it has left.

My understanding is that you post where you found the hitchhiker but not
where you hid it. :o)

Yes, but I think we get more coverage of the box if I post the removal.
Otherwise, if the new driver never lets us know where he picked it up, that
hostel gets lost from the record.

I too would be interested in the past travels and current whereabouts of The
Collinsville Twosome, inasmuch as it was initially placed by me this past May
(after Mohmers carved it and shipped it east, from Collinsville, IL to
Collinsville, CT). It's difficult to believe that NO ONE has found it in
seven months! Or perhaps its finder(s) are just being coy with us? Inquiring
minds want to know! If you've seen it, please let me know off-line. Thanks
very much.
